A woman tried to stop a Halloween story time event by three drag queens at the Cellar Door bookstore in Riverside, California.
Linda Sherman-Nurick, a owner of the bookstore, told KNBC that she noticed Genevieve Peters recording video at the event and told to Peters that she couldn’t record kids without the parents’ permission, but Peters refused to stop.
Peters defended crashing the event on private property:
She has invited the public to watch this perversion with these homosexuals. I’m sorry this is what’s happening.
Peters was asked to leave by parents and security guards, but refused:
That’s what you get. This is our nation’s children, you have no right to tell us about our children.
Peters claimed she wasn’t recording the children, just the drag queens:
For the last 30 years, the homosexual agenda has been first and foremost wanting to desensitize our communities, our children, our families.
Drag queen performer Jovani Morales said he’s not surprised by Peters:
I’m used to this negativity and hate. They’re screaming hateful things and negative comments that kids shouldn’t be hearing to begin with.
A police officer escorted Peters outside the bookstore, but Peters promised to come back if the drag queens return:
This is about saying “You know what, this is a perverse lifestyle and if you choose it it’s your business, but we as Americans can choose not to agree with it.”
