Four Black soldiers from Fort Belvoir, Virginia, were eating in an IHOP restaurant on April 19 when an unidentified white woman left some cash to pay for their meals, but returned shortly after to take the money back and accuse the soldiers of stealing her money: “You guys are … sh*tbags” (MORE VIDEO).
Joe Richard, director of public affairs for Fort Belvoir, issued a statement to Military Times: “She offered to pay for their meal, which is not uncommon when people meet military personnel, it’s a gesture as a way to thank them for their service. She placed $30 on their table.”
Richard said the woman took she took $24 back, leaving just $6 on the table and left. But she later returned to the restaurant, began harassing them, claimed that they had stolen her money, sat down in the booth, and blocked one of the soldiers from moving: “She became antagonistic, claiming the soldiers had taken her money and directed racially charged language at the soldiers.”
The woman yelled at the soldiers: “Are you the thin blue line, are you BLM, are you antifa?”
An unnamed patron, purported to be an Air Force veteran, asked the woman to leave, but she cursed at him: “Is this your restaurant? Motherf*cker, I will f*cking drop you. You wanna go? You wanna go?”
