White ‘Pro-Life’ Activists — Ignore Black Lives Matter — Write ‘Black Preborn Lives Matter’ on Sidewalk in D.C.

The “pro-life” and white-run Students for Life has ignored the Black Lives Matter movement, which was created to oppose police brutality and murder of black people (MORE VIDEO BELOW).

However, Students for Life tweeted on Aug. 1 that two of their members (both white) co-opted “Black Lives Matter” by writing “Black Preborn Lives Matter” on a sidewalk in front of a Planned Parenthood clinic in Washington D.C.

Tina Whittington, executive vice president of Students for Life, told the Washington Post the police told the group not to paint on the street or write on the sidewalk with chalk.

However, which Students for Life members Erica Caporaletti and Warner DePriest did it anyway, per the Washington Post:

Caporaletti and DePriest began to write faster when police moved to arrest them for defacing public property, rushing through the word “Pre-Born” when officers approached them, according to a video taken by the protesters. They were arrested and held for about an hour before returning to the scene to condemn the city for its response to their protest.

Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser authorized the painting of “Black Lives Matter” near the White House in June, noted the Washington Post.

Students for Life claimed in an online petition, without any evidence, that Bowser is somehow targeting them for being “pro-life” because they cannot do the same:

With these threats D.C. Mayor Muriel Bower has made her motives clear as she apparently only thinks that SOME Black Lives Matter and that only SOME slogans are allowed to be painted on streets. SHE IS WRONG. And this is viewpoint discrimination. This is unconstitutional.

The Friendly Atheist noted in 2017 that Students for Life President Kristan Hawkins told MSNBC that she wanted to ban IUDs and birth control pills.
