Trump’s Azerbaijan Hotel Linked To Iran’s Revolutionary Guard

President Donald Trump officially designated Iran’s Revolutionary Guard as a terrorist organization, much to the delight of conservatives, notes the Associated Press.

However, The New Yorker reported in 2017 that Trump and his daughter Ivanka developed the Trump International Hotel & Tower Baku in Baku, Azerbaijan, which appears to be a corrupt operation run by the Mammadov family, which has links to Iran’s Revolutionary Guard.

Newsweek reported in 2017 that Trump’s financial filings show he’s partners in the deal with the son, Anar Mammadov, of Azerbaijan’s transportation minister, Ziya Mammadov, whom U.S. officials believe laundered money for the Iran’s Revolutionary Guard.

Foreign Policy described the Mammadov family as The Corleones of the Caspian” because of their reputation for using construction firms tied to Iran’s Revolutionary Guard.
