Trump voters in Huntington, West Virginia, chanted for Hillary Clinton to be locked up for unspecified crimes, and cheered when President Donald Trump claimed the investigation into a possible Trump campaign-Russian collusion was fabricated:
“The Russia story is a total fabrication. It’s just an excuse for the greatest loss in the history of American politics. That’s all it is. It just makes them feel better when they have nothing else to talk about. What the prosecutors should be looking at are Hillary Clinton’s 33,000 deleted emails.”
Trump provided no evidence regarding any wrongdoing Clinton and her emails, but the crowd chanted:
“Lock her up!” notes Mediaite.com.
Earlier in the day, special counsel Robert Mueller impaneled a Grand Jury for the Trump-Russia probe, which is the first step to prosecution, reports The Wall Street Journal:
The grand jury, which began its work in recent weeks, is a sign that Mr. Mueller’s inquiry is ramping up and that it will likely continue for months. Mr. Mueller is investigating Russia’s efforts to influence the 2016 election and whether President Donald Trump’s campaign or associates colluded with the Kremlin as part of that effort.
