Trump Threatens Protesters Before Tulsa Rally, Trump Fans Call For Revolution Over Curfew
Using Twitter, President Donald Trump threatened protesters and others coming to his Tulsa, Oklahoma, on June 20.
Any protesters, anarchists, agitators, looters or lowlifes who are going to Oklahoma please understand, you will not be treated like you have been in New York, Seattle, or Minneapolis. It will be a much different scene!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 19, 2020
The Guardian reminded the president what the U.S. Constitution says:
Protest is protected by the First Amendment of the United States constitution. Found in the same clause is the right to free exercise, protecting the right of Americans who do not believe in a state.
Meanwhile, Trump supporters are angry at Mayor G.T. Bynum because he signed a curfew order for June 19 and June 20 from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m.
We understand that many people are unaware that a curfew will be in place and barricades are still in the process of being setup. If we find anyone in violation of the Executive Order this evening, we will request that they leave the area based on the curfew.— Tulsa Police (@TulsaPolice) June 19, 2020

How exactly does this curfew work for the 1000s of AMERICAN PATRIOTS waiting outside, peacefully in anticipation of the @realDonaldTrump rally?#TrumpRallyTulsa
And they wonder why they have lost the support of the American people. Rousting peaceful citizens waiting to see their President but letting BLM and Antifa run wild. Not a a good look for @TulsaPolice #FTP— Ajdx4🇺🇸🏳️🌈 (@Ajdx4SD) June 19, 2020
Tulsa Police, you know this is an unjust curfew. Refuse to enforce it! Get the word out that you will not enforce it!— Art Winebrenner (@awinebrenner67) June 19, 2020

Oh really??? Why did you all of a sudden impose a Curfew in Downtown Tulsa 2-3 blocks around the BOK center where people have been peacefully camping for days awaiting the Trump Rally.— Anon707077 (@Anon707077) June 19, 2020
You are full of shit and should resign immediately!!#TulsaTyranny
Isn’t there a right to peaceful assembly? How is a group of political supporters hanging out together dangerous? If the mayor allowed other groups that support a different political cause to gather en masse, doesn’t this deny the Trump people equal protection under the law?— Ginger Lady (@GingerLady6) June 19, 2020
