Trump Stonewalls On Phone Call With Ukraine, Ukrainian Official Ready To Dig Up Dirt On Biden
President Donald Trump is stonewalling about his purported conversation with a Ukrainian official, and proceeded to attack former Vice President Joe Biden, reports CNN’s Jim Acosta:
In Oval, Trump tells reporters when asked about Ukraine and whistleblower “it doesn’t matter what i discussed” and adds “someone ought to look into Joe Biden” (per WH pool).— Jim Acosta (@Acosta) September 20, 2019
Anton Geraschenko, a senior adviser to the Ukraine’s interior minister, told The Daily Beast that the Ukrainians are waiting for the green light from Trump to investigate business dealings that Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden had with the Ukrainian natural-gas company Burisma Holdings:
Clearly, Trump is now looking for kompromat to discredit his opponent Biden, to take revenge for his friend Paul Manafort, who is serving seven years in prison. We do not investigate Biden in Ukraine, since we have not received a single official request to do so.
Trump reportedly offered to release $250 million in support for Ukraine’s military if Ukraine agreed to dig into Hunter Biden’s dealings in the country.
Geraschenko told The Daily Beast how his country welcomed the funding:
For now, we would like America to support us more, and not only with money but also with the newest weapons in our war against the aggressor, the Russian Federation.
We want a status as NATO’s special partner, allowing us to buy any weapons in the U.S., including the newest anti-aircraft rockets to defend our country in case Russia decides to attack from the air. Our technology is more than 40 years old.
