Trump Says He Will End His Policy Of Separating Families After Lying Repeatedly That It Was Democratic Law

President Donald Trump says he will end his policy of separating immigrant families after he lying for weeks that the policy was Democratic law.

Trump claimed one day before, June 19, that children had to be taken away from their parents.

Trump told reporters at the White House that he was going to sign “something” to end the policy that his administration began in May, notes CNBC:

I’ll be signing something in a little while that’s going to do that. I’ll be doing something that’s somewhat preemptive and ultimately will be matched by legislation I’m sure.

This move completely contradicts Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen who said on June 18: “Congress and the courts created this problem, and Congress alone can fix it.”
