Trump Says He Doesn’t Want Immigrants From ‘Sh*thole’ Countries, Wants Norway Immigrants Instead: Report
President Donald Trump reportedly denigrated immigrants from Haiti, El Salvador and African countries as part of a bipartisan immigration deal.
Two people briefed on a White House immigration meeting told The Washington Post that Trump said: “Why are we having all these people from sh*thole countries come here?”
Trump reportedly said the U.S. should instead bring more immigrants from countries such as Norway, which shocked people in the meeting.
The White House refused to comment on Trump’s remarks.
The Trump administration recently said it was removing immigration protection for citizens of El Salvador who live in the U.S.
