Trump Refuses To Say If FBI Is Investigating Journalist’s Death, Jared Kushner Is Helping Saudi Arabia: Report

President Donald Trump refuses to say if he ordered the FBI to investigate the apparent gruesome murder of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi inside the Saudi Arabian embassy in Istanbul, Turkey, on Oct. 2.

Trump, who has openly defended the repressive Saudi government, ignored that Khashoggi was a permanent legal resident of the United States and defiantly said he didn’t have to disclose that information:

He’s not an American citizen. And you don’t know if we have or not. Maybe we have… I’m not telling you. Why would I tell you?

Meanwhile, Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, who is a White House advisor, is reportdly “deeply, deeply involved” to help the Saudi Arabia government craft a new response after the Saudis lied for weeks about Khashoggi’s death.

A senior Trump administration official told Yahoo News that Kushner has a close relationship with the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, despite Saudi Arabia’s numerous human rights violations.

Kushner and the crown prince have reportedly been in direct phone conversations about Khashoggi.
