Trump Rarely, If Ever, Reads His Daily Intelligence Briefing: Report
The Washington Post reports that President Donald Trump “rarely if ever reads the President’s Daily Brief, a document that lays out the most pressing information collected by U.S. intelligence agencies from hot spots around the world.”
Because Trump refuses to read the intelligence briefings, someone in the White House has to give him an oral briefing every two or three days that summarizes the intelligence briefings.
In 2014, Trump falsely claimed that President Obama did not read his intelligence briefings:
Fact–Obama does not read his intelligence briefings nor does he get briefed in person by the CIA or DOD. Too busy I guess!

The Washington Post’s notes that Obama reportedly received his intelligence briefings “on a secure iPad to review before asking questions of his briefers.”
Trump bragged to Fox News in December 2016 that he doesn’t need intelligence briefings because he’s “a smart person,” and then mangled the content of intelligence briefings:
I don’t have to be told — you know, I’m, like, a smart person. I don’t have to be told the same thing in the same words every single day for the next eight years. Could be eight years — but eight years. I don’t need that.
