Trump was asked by reporters about the ad, which has been banned on CNN, MSNBC and Fox News, when he feigned ignorance:
I don’t know about it. We have a lot of ads and they certainly are effective based on the numbers that we’re seeing…
A lot of things are offensive,” he said. “Your questions are offensive a lot of times. So, you know.
Trump’s 2020 campaign manager Brad Parscale recalled the racist ad in an angry tweet in which he whined about cable channels refusing to air it:
