President Donald Trump praised several Fox News hosts for their support, and slammed conservative columnist Ann Coulter for not supporting his scheduled pre-planned national emergency.
Coulter correctly noted on Twitter that the supposed emergency was Trump pretending to appease his followers after signing a deal from the House and Senate did not provide funding for a full border wall:
The goal is to get Trump’s stupidest voters to say “HE’S FIGHTING!” No he’s not. If he signs this bill, it’s over. https://t.co/6DQSkqxV8h— Ann Coulter (@AnnCoulter) February 15, 2019
Trump responded by praising pro-Trump Fox News personalities and radio host Rush Limbaugh, while pretending not to know Coulter:
Sean Hannity has been a terrific, terrific supporter of what I do. Not of me: if I change my views he wouldn’t be with me.
Rush Limbaugh, I think he’s a great guy. He can speak for three hours without a phone call, try doing that. He has one of the biggest audiences in the history of the world, this guy is unbelievable.
Ann Coulter, don’t know her, I hardly know her, I haven’t spoken to her in way over a year.
Trump said he had “nothing against her,” but said she had gone “off the reservation” when she began attacking him. Trump went back to praising Fox News:
Laura has been great, Laura Ingraham. Tucker Carlson has been great. People get what we’re doing. They get it. They really get it. And I’m honored by it
