Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg Granted Immunity In Michael Cohen Probe
Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg was reportedly granted immunity by the Manhattan U.S. attorney’s office for providing information about Michael Cohen in the criminal investigation into hush-money payments to porn star Stormy Daniels and Playboy Playmate Karen McDougal.
The Wall Street Journal notes that Weisselberg was called to testify before a federal grand jury in the investigation earlier this year, and at some time spoke to investigators.
Weisselberg didn’t respond to a request for comment from The Wall Street Journal, nor did a Trump lawyer.
Alan Futerfas, a lawyer for the Trump Organization, refused to comment to CNBC. Neither the White House nor a lawyer for Cohen immediately respond to a request for comment.
