Trump Never Warned 4 US Embassies About Supposed Threat of ‘Imminent’ Attack From Iran
State Department officials never warned four specific US embassies about the supposed “imminent threats” threats that were mentioned by President Donald Trump to justify his ordered assassination of Iranian General Qasem Suleimani.
Trump claimed during his rally in Toledo, Ohio, that Suleimani “was actively planning new attacks,” and Trump said on Fox News that “four embassies” were targeted in the plot.
CNN reports the State Department sent out a warning to all US embassies before Trump’s attack happened, but that warning was not directed to any specific embassy and never mentioned an “imminent” attack.
Trump administration officials have failed to provide any evidence of Trump’s claims, notes CNN.
