The Trump administration has missed a second court-ordered deadline to reunite jailed immigrant children with their parents.
Federal District Judge Dana Sabraw issued the dead line, but the Trump administration admits at least 900 children have yet to be reunited, and about 463 separated parents have been deported while their children remain in U.S. detention centers, notes Democracy Now.
The Trump administration claims the separated parents voluntarily agreed to leave their children behind.
The ACLU says many parents were coerced or misled into signing government forms that they could not read.
