President Donald Trump’s lawyer Jay Sekulow claimed on MSNBC that Trump “doesn’t support anyone telling lies,” which brought laughter from the set.
MSNBC’s Ari Melber asked Sekulow — who saw the Mueller report two days before Congress did — about Trump administration officials and associates who lied to Special Counsel Robert Mueller.
Sekulow claimed that Trump, who has told thousands of lies while in office, does not support lying:
I know which ones I believe you’re talking about. The president doesn’t support anyone telling lies. Let’s be crystal clear on that.
