Trump Ignored US Intelligence Reports That Warned About Coronavirus in January and February
Current and former U.S. officials told the Washington Post that President Donald Trump received more than a dozen classified briefings about the deadly coronavirus in January and February, but failed to take action.
The repeated warnings were included the President’s Daily Brief (PBD), but Trump routinely skips reading the PDB and has little patience for the oral summary two or three times per week, according to the officials.
While he chose to be ignorant of the facts, Trump played down the deadly pandemic for months.
Reuters White House correspondent Jeff Mason reports that Trump was asked about the intelligence reports that he ignored.
