White House economic advisor Larry Kudlow — who falsely claimed on Feb. 25 that the coronavirus was “contained” — told CNBC‘s “Squawk Box” co-host Becky Quick on June 22 that a “second wave” of COVID-19 cases isn’t coming, even though COVID-19 numbers have skyrocketed in several states:

There is no second wave coming. It’s just hot spots. They send in CDC teams, we’ve got the testing procedures, we’ve got the diagnostics, we’ve got the PPE. And so I really think it’s a pretty good situation.
