Trump Denies Advance Knowledge Of Michael Cohen’s Payoffs To Stormy Daniels, Karen McDougal

President Donald Trump denied having advance knowledge of Michael Cohen’s six-figure hush money payoffs to Stormy Daniels and Playboy model Karen McDougal during the 2016 campaign.

In his plea bargain deal, Cohen claimed that he made the payments “in coordination with and at the direction of a federal candidate for office,” meaning Trump

Fox News host Ainsley Earhardt asked Trump: “Did you know about the payments?”

Trump denied having advanced knowledge: “Later on I knew. Later on.”

Trump didn’t say exactly when he knew, and Ainsley didn’t ask.

Trump also claimed the source of the hush money is important, which is not true because any money contributed to the campaign must be declared on federal forms, which is what Cohen did not do: “They didn’t come out of the campaign. They came from me.”
