Trump Claims Aretha Franklin ‘Worked For Me’
President Donald Trump mourned the death of Aretha Franklin by claiming that the queen of soul used to work for him.
Trump made his comments during a cabinet meeting, notes the New York Post:
I want to begin today by expressing my condolences to the family of a person I knew well. She worked for me on numerous occasions. She was terrific — Aretha Franklin — on her passing.
In reality, Franklin was not an employee of Trump’s, but was contracted to sing at the Trump’s Castle casino in 1988 and the Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort in the 1990s, reports the Press of Atlantic City.
