Trump Brags That His Attacks Against Sexual Assault Victim, Dr. Ford, Helped Kavanaugh Get Confirmed

President Donald Trump claimed that his attacks against sexual assault victim Christine Blasey Ford on Oct. 2 helped get alleged sexual assaulter Brett Kavanaugh confirmed to the U.S. Supreme Court on Oct. 6.

Trump boasted about mocking Ford during an interview with Fox News host Jeanine Pirro on Oct. 6:

There were a lot of things happening that weren’t true and a lot of things left unsaid. I thought I had to even the playing field. Once I did that, it started to sail through.

As a matter of record, Kavanaugh never sailed through, but was barely confirmed by a vote of 51-49.
