UPDATE: Two sources told Business Insider that Miller refused to leave the CNN set after being asked “several” times. Miller reportedly “ignored those requests and ultimately security was called and he was escorted out.”
White House advisor Stephen Miller went on a bizarre rant against Michael Wolff’s new book, Fire and Fury: Inside Trump’s White House.
During an interview with CNN host Jake Tapper, Miller shouted:
You have 24 hours of negative anti-Trump hysterical coverage on this network! Viewers are entitled to have three minutes of the truth! Why don’t you just give me three minutes to tell you about the Donald Trump that I know.
Tapper tried to calm Miller:
Because it’s my show and I don’t want to do that. Stephen, settle down, calm down.
However, Miller continued his rant, and Tapper cut him off:
Okay, you’re not answering the questions. I get it. There’s one viewer that you care about right now and you’re being obsequious because you’re trying to please him. I’ve wasted enough of my viewers time.
Over on Fox News, Miller’s bizarre appearance was ripped by media analyst Howie Kurtz, campaign strategist Mo Elleithee and conservative commentator Gayle Trotter (video below).
Former U.S. Rep. David Jolley gave MSNBC his take on Miller’s rant (video below):
Stephen Miller is the one person in this White House, through loyalty and sycophancy who can fill Steve Bannon’s shoes and he knows that. The Stephen Miller interview was for an audience of one, Donald Trump.
