Trump Advisor & Fox News Use Death Of 7-Year-Old Girl, In Border Patrol Custody, To Push For Trump’s Wall

Fox News host Sean Hannity used the death of a seven-year-old immigrant girl, who died while in the custody of the Border Patrol, to push for President Donald Trump’s border wall (which was supposed to be paid for by Mexico a long time ago, per Trump’s promises) on Dec. 13, notes Media Matters (more video below):

We learned of a horrible tragedy tonight. A 7-year-old girl from Guatemala died of dehydration and shock after crossing into the U.S. illegally with her father in the remote New Mexico desert.
It’s like I have been saying over and over again, a wall can prevent these types of heart-breaking stories, once people know they can’t get in. They’re not going to come. It’s a treacherous journey, dangerous. They ran out of food and water apparently for days before she crossed into this country. Tragedy that can be avoided.
White House senior adviser Stephen Miller took Hannity’s sick logic on step further on “The Ingraham Angle” on Dec. 13, and claimed without proof that more children will die unless Trump’s wall is built, reports Media Matters, :
Immigration is an emotional issue, and it ought to be an emotional issue because it affects people’s lives. And if you want to stop the horrors on the northward trek, the rape that occurs, and abuse that occurs… The physical assault, and the death that occurs, then, for the love of God, fund the border wall.
