Texas Gov. Greg Abbott Signs Order Banning Non-Existent Vaccine Passports While COVID Numbers Surge in Houston
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott signed an executive order banning non-existent “vaccine passports” from state agencies, political subdivisions or organizations receiving public funds, reports the Texas Tribune.
According to the Texas Medical Center COVID-19 dashboard, daily new cases and the positivity rates are trending upward in Houston, the third largest city in the U.S.
Despite the increase in coronavirus cases, Abbott claimed: “Texans are returning to normal life as more people get the safe and effective COVID-19 vaccine.”
Abbott insisted that requiring proof of vaccinations during the deadly pandemic would somehow tread on “on Texans’ personal freedoms.”
