Tennessee Police Open Fire On Man’s Home, Do Not Identify Themselves, Sheriff Supports Shooting

Cheatham County deputies opened fire on Mark Campbell ‘s home in Ashland, Tennessee in August 2016 without first identifying themselves.

Sgt. Doug Fox and Chris Austin claimed they showed up at Campbell ‘s home because they were responding to a 911 hang up.

One deputy told Campbell to come outside, but Campbell refused and said he had a gun (he did not). That’s when the first deputy opened fire, and almost shot the second deputy.

Sheriff Mike Breedlove told WTVF that he believes his deputies, who said Campbell pointed a weapon, despite no weapon being found in the home.
