A video filmed by a Black student appears to show a teacher suggesting that Black slaves were not whipped by white people, and playing down the racist “N-word” at Island Coast School in Cape Coral, Florida, reports the International Business Times.
TikTok user @elnegrosabrosoo filmed his teacher’s wild rant:
The N-Word just means ignorant. It doesn’t have any other meaning in any other vocabulary other than “You are a stupid person. You are not well read. You are not well-educated.” That’s what it means.
The school tweeted on Feb. 14 that the incident is being investigated.
