There is a debate on social media over whether guests, including friends and family, should pay a cover charge for Thanksgiving.
One woman recently tweeted that she was charging $30 a head at her Thanksgiving table, which most folks on Twitter said they would not pay.
Lisa Richey, founder of the American Academy of Etiquette, told KYW-TV:
When you offer to host an event at your home you have to accept responsibility and part of that is the financial piece of that. You don’t have to host, can have it at someone else’s house.
