Sesame Street-Style Videos Tell Kids How To React During Shootings, When Mom Overdoses On Drugs

Youth Ambassadors, a Kansas City nonprofit, has released some “Sesame Street”style videos called “Lessons From My Neighborhood” that tell kids what to do when they are being shot at, when there is no food in their home and when their mom when is overdosing on drugs (more videos below).

AdAge notes the videos tell kids to “duck, dodge and roll” during a shooting, to fill up on air and water when there’s no food, and the physical signs of an overdose.

The “lessons” are taken from quotes by real children, and the videos conclude with “No child should have to learn a lesson like this.”
