Sen. Mike Lee — Tested Positive for COVID-19 — Goes Maskless At SCOTUS Amy Coney Barrett Hearing
Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) — who tested positive for COVID-19 only 10 days ago — didn’t wear a mask during the Senate Judiciary Committee’s first day of Supreme Court confirmation hearings for Amy Coney Barrett.
Mother Jones journalist noted that Lee was violating the 14-day quarantine rule by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

PBS NewsHour reporter Lisa Desjardins pointed out that Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) was sitting next to Lee without a mask.

He says Capitol's attending physician has cleared him, he’s not contagious.
An even greater show of faith? Sen. @JohnCornyn, who is next to Lee, had no mask on for much of Lee’s remarks. pic.twitter.com/wD1gQwYJD1
NBC News historian Michael Beschloss noted that Barrett and her family are also being exposed to Sen. Lee.
Why is Senator Mike Lee, who tested Covid-positive, speaking without wearing a mask at this hearing with Judge Barrett and her family present and everyone else there exposed?— Michael Beschloss (@BeschlossDC) October 12, 2020
