Republican Sen. John Kennedy of Louisiana pushed a popular right wing bogus conspiracy theory that someone, not Brett Kavanaugh, sexually assaulted Christine Blasey Ford.
Kennedy admitted he did not know what happened to Ford, but then immediately contradicted himself by claiming “something very, very, very bad” happened to Ford, but added that he was sure “Kavanaugh was not involved.”
Kennedy failed to prove any of his claims.
On Sept. 27, Kennedy used his magical thinking to prove that Kavanaugh was innocent by telling Kavanaugh to “swear to God,” a god whom Kennedy could neither define or prove existed.
