Republican Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith of Mississippi fled journalists on Nov. 25 when she was asked about her racist remarks and racist history.
One of the reporters, MSNBC’s Vaughn Hillyard, asked the Hyde-Smith several questions as she fled to her car:
A lot of people we’ve talked to across the state that are concerned about your remarks and what you’re apologizing for. Senator, you stood inside of Jefferson Davis’s house and you said “this is Mississippi history at its best.” Senator, what did you mean by that?
