Sean Spicer Breaks With Trump: Mueller Probe Is Not Witch Hunt

Former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer, who is hawking his new book, told the “TODAY’ show that he does not believe that Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s probe of Russia and the Trump campaign is a witch hunt.

Spicer also claimed there has been “no evidence” of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, despite meetings and communications between Russian operatives and members of Trump’s campaign team: Donald Trump Jr., Michael Flynn, Jeff Sessions and Paul Manafort, who is awaiting trial on July 25.

Spicer added that he believes Russia meddled in the 2016 election, but refused to criticize Trump’s defense of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Spicer also appeared on Megan Kelly’s segment of the “TODAY” show and was confronted with his many lies, while press secretary, by Kelly, who has a long history of her own lies on Fox News, which has been documented by Media Matters (video below).
