White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders tried to force reporters to share what they are thankful for to celebrate Thanksgiving, a holiday created by white colonialists.
Most reporters obeyed Sanders, but ABC News’ Senior White House Correspondent Cecilia Vega said: “I’m thankful for the First Amendment,” which drew “ooh”s from other reporters.
Sanders, who has actively opposed the press, awkwardly responded: “I think we all are.”
American Urban Radio Networks correspondent and CNN contributor April Ryan took down Sanders: “Yeah, we’re part of it though.”
Sanders then dodged a question about White House counselor Kellyanne Conway urging Alabama voters to support Republican U.S. Senate candidate Roy Moore.
