A right wing protester, who opposes coronavirus safety protocols, wore full protective gear while holding a sign that read: “COVID-19 is a lie” in Huntington Beach, California.
The protester joined more than 100 demonstrators who held signs, such as “Live free or die,” waved Trump banners, and chanted “U.S.A” as passing vehicles honked in support of defying the life-saving protocols, reports the Orange County Register.
The protester was roundly mocked on Twitter.
Three things:— Youstina Mina (@StinaMinaaa) April 17, 2020
1. No true Californian says “Cali”.
2. The hazmat gear sent me.
3. F*** Huntington Beach. https://t.co/Hn9naJK6cH
These protesters are putting thousands of Orange County residents unnecessarily at risk. #COVID19 is a deadly disease, often spread by symptomless carriers. Stay home. Save lives.https://t.co/TJfpMBxmws— Harley Rouda (@HarleyRouda) April 17, 2020
