Ronna Romney McDaniel, the chairwoman of the Republican National Committee, whined on July 27 about conservatives supposedly being censored by Twitter and Facebook.
McDaniel complained on “Fox & Friends” about the alleged bias, but failed to mention the Republican Party lobbied the Trump administration’s FCC to gut “net neutrality,” which was put in place by the Obama administration to make the web a fair playing field:
It’s important to our political dialogue that the thought police of Silicon Valley are not determining what voices get through on their social media platform. [Internet companies] have to address that they’re allowing free speech on their platforms and they are not suppressing conservative voices and opinions just because they don’t agree with them.
