Rep. Jim Jordan Accused Again of Participating in Ohio State University Sexual Abuse Cover-Up
UPDATE: Adam DiSabato expanded on his claims about Rep. Jordan on CNN.
Adam DiSabato, a former captain of the Ohio State University wrestling team, told the House Civil Justice Committee that Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) and other team officials knew about and covered up sexual harassment and abuse by former Ohio State University (OSU) doctor Richard Strauss, reports Cleveland.com.
Adam also said Rep. Jordan called him repeatedly in July 2018 after his brother, Michael DiSabato, said Strauss’ abuse was common knowledge to school employees, including Rep. Jordan who was an assistant wrestling coach from 1987 to 1995:
Jim Jordan called me crying, groveling… begging me to go against my brother…That’s the kind of cover-up that’s going on there.
Adam is one of several former OSU wrestlers who have filed lawsuits against OSU alleging it ignored Strauss’ abuse.
Rep. Jordan has denied the allegations, falsely claimed that he was cleared by a report and has attacked news outlets for interviewing the alleged victims.
