Rep. Ben McAdams — Opposes Medicare For All — Tests Positive For Coronavirus
Rep. Ben McAdams (D-UT) — who opposes Medicare for All — announced that he has tested positive for the coronavirus, reports the Salt Lake City Tribune (VIDEO BELOW):
Today I learned that I tested positive. I am still working for Utahns and pursuing efforts to get Utahns the resources they need as I continue doing my job from home until I know it is safe to end my self-quarantine. I’m doing my part as all Americans are doing to contain the spread of the virus and mitigate the coronavirus outbreak.
McAdams told Fox News on March 31, 2019 how Utah voters would not support a “Medicare for all” health system, which would cover all Americans, noted Utah Policy:
I don’t think it’s an approach to healthcare reform that works for my constituents. It’s not what I support. We have the Medicare system that works for our seniors. I don’t think it works for everybody.
McAdams did not say exactly why Medicare for All would not work for those those younger than 65 years old, but did add that he also opposed the Green New Deal to reduce global warming.
