Protester Mocks EPA Head Scott Pruitt During Speech

EPA head Scott Pruitt was interrupted by a protester while giving a speech at the Faith and Freedom Conference in Washington D.C.

Pruitt was touting the accomplishments of the Trump administration, which includes rolling back clean air and clean water regulations, and appointing oil and gas industry members to EPA positions.

The protester waved a bottle go lotion while she was escorted out by security, notes NBC News.

The bottle of lotion was an apparent reference to a report by The Washington Post that Pruitt is having EPA security personnel fetch his dry cleaning and a specific bottle of lotion:

While EPA security agents are required to protect Pruitt at all times — while he is working and during his off hours — the two individuals said the administrator had asked members of the detail to perform tasks that go beyond their primary function. In one instance, they said, he directed agents to drive him to multiple locations in search of a particular lotion on offer at Ritz-Carlton hotels.

ThinkProgress notes the many scandals Pruitt has been involved in, from buying ridiculously expensive pens to trying to get his wife a franchise with Chik-Fil-A, all at taxpayer expense.
