Pro-Trump farmers in Iowa and Ohio told CNN that President Donald Trump’s trade war with China is hurting them financially, and some said they regretted voting for him (more video below).
Iowa farmer Larry Angler said that Trump’s trade war combined with recent flooding will cost him more than $100,000.
Iowa farmer Greg Beaman told CNN that he’s grown impatient waiting for Trump’s deal-making to produce a trade agreement with China:
He better hurry up and start producing a little bit. Because so far, what I’m seeing, this negotiation has not panned out.
Ohio farmer Christopher Gibbs said he was “off the Trump train”:
We’re in a free fall out here in agriculture!. We’ve seen a 30 percent decrease in the price of soy beans.
