‘Pro-Life’ Trump Lawyer Fights Safety Rules to Get Children Into Schools Where They Will Be Exposed to Deadly COVID-19
“Pro-life” Trump lawyer Jordan Sekulow, whose dad is Trump lawyer Jay Sekulow, is fighting to get children back into private and Christian schools during the deadly COVID-19 pandemic that has killed more than 174,000 Americans under Trump’s watch.
Jordan wrote on the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) website that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Dr. Anthony Fauci said to open schools during the deadly coronavirus pandemic:
Left-leaning officials and teachers unions are demanding that the government mandate schools to remain closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, threatening to strike and refuse to even provide online distance learning options. This is happening even despite the fact that, as we reported, the CDC and Dr. Anthony Fauci have said schools should reopen and kids should be back in the classroom.
Jordan failed to note that Fauci said the health of children and teachers is the “primary consideration“ during an Aug. 3 press conference, noted by Rev (a transcription company):
Having said that, there’s a big however there, and the however is the primary consideration should always be the safety, the health and the welfare of the children, as well as the teachers and the secondary effects for spreading of the regard to the parents and other family members.
Jordan also failed to mention this “first step” warning from the CDC on July 23:
With states, cities, and communities around the United States experiencing different levels of coronavirus transmission, jurisdictions should ensure appropriate public health strategies are in place to slow the spread of COVID-19 as the first step in creating a safer school environment.
Jordan, who opposes universal healthcare even for kids, claimed COVID-19 safety was a “radical Left power grab”:
We’ve seen a disturbing trend developing in some localities across the nation, using this pandemic in a radical Left power grab to further an extreme agenda, including ordering Christian and private schools to shut down regardless of the steps they take to ensure the safety of teachers and students.
