‘Pro-Life’ Church Claims to be Persecuted, Refuses to Follow COVID Safety Rules: ‘We Ain’t Cancelling Church’

A church called the The Pursuit NW in Snohomish, Washington, is refusing to follow safety rules to keep people from getting the deadly COVID-19 virus that has killed over 550,000 Americans.

After the Washington State Attorney General warned the science-denying church about gathering in large numbers, Pastor Russell Johnson created a “We Ain’t Cancelling Church” video on March 7 that claims the church is being persecuted. In the video, Johnson also attacks transgender people and women’s reproductive health notes the Friendly Atheist:

… If 25% of the church is allowed to gather, then the church is not allowed to gather. If 50% of the church is allowed to gather, then the church is not allowed to gather.

The same politicians who are telling us to trust the science will also tell us men can be women, women can be men, and babies can be terminated in the womb up until the ninth month.

Johnson, who has been been playing down the COVID pandemic on Twitter (below), claimed: “I trust the science.”

Russell went on to issue his defiance against the state’s safety rules, which will likely result in the deaths of some churchgoers:

… And if the attorney general wants to find me, I’ll be here, at Pursuit, every Sunday, 9:00, 10:30, and noon. We cancel sickness, we cancel disease, we cancel fear and demons and darkness. We cancel power-hungry politicians. But we ain’t canceling church.
