Dr. Simone Gold — who heads the pro-hydroxychloroquine, anti-vaccine group America’s Frontline Doctors — was arrested after appearing in a video filmed during the U.S. Capitol riot on Jan. 6.
Gold told The Associated Press that she followed the (violent and armed) crowd and assumed it was legal to do so, even though the Capitol was closed to the public.
MedPage Today reports that Gold was arrested in California on Jan. 17, and charged with entering a restricted building and for violent entry and disorderly conduct.
