Poll: Half Of Republicans Say Media Should Be Called ‘Enemy Of The People’
A new poll by Quinnipiac University finds that more than half of Republicans believe that the media (journalists) should be called the “enemy of the people” instead of an “important part of democracy,” notes the Standard-Examiner.
Quinnipiac University did an earlier poll in March that asked Americans if they agreed with a tweet by President Donald Trump from Feb. 17. 2017:
“The FAKE NEWS media (failing @nytimes, @NBCNews, @ABC, @CBS, @CNN) is not my enemy, it is the enemy of the American People!”
In the March poll, 80 percent of Republicans agreed with Trump, while almost 40 percent jumped on the bus.
