Passengers In Aeroflot Crash Slowed Down Evacuation By Grabbing For Carry-On Luggage

Some passengers in the Aeroflot plane crash on May 5 at Sheremetyevo International Airport in Russia slowed down the evacuation process by insisting on grabbing their carry-on bags before leaving the burning plane, which took 41 lives, notes the New York Times.

Video posted online by Breaking 911 shows passengers walking away from the jet with luggage. The passengers violated basic emergency tules by placing lives in danger for their personal luggage.

Kommersant FM reported that as passengers groped for baggage, a lethal bottleneck formed in the plane’s single aisle.
