Parkland Survivor Slams Pence For ‘Only Praying’ After Indiana School Shooting
Lauren Hogg, a survivor of the Parkland school shooting in Florida, slammed Vice President Mike Pence who offered his cliche prayers after a school shooting at the Noblesville West Middle School in Indiana, the 21st school shooting in 2018, notes USA TODAY.
Pence tweeted his prayers with no mention of taking action on the epidemic of school violence.
Karen and I are praying for the victims of the terrible shooting in Indiana. To everyone in the Noblesville community – you are on our hearts and in our prayers. Thanks for the swift response by Hoosier law enforcement and first responders.

Lauren, who is the sister of Parkland survivor David Hogg, informed Pence that his after-death prayers were not enough:
Hey @VP how about instead of only praying this time you take action? Perhaps you don’t realize that the reason people pray after school shootings occur is in hopes that people like you who have the power to stop these things from happening take action. https://t.co/SBot8d3uz0
