Parents Outraged After Wisconsin School Asked Students How Girls Can Avoid Being Raped

Parents were outraged after students at Bradford High School in Kenosha, Wisconsin were reportedly shown a video depicting a sexual assault and asked how girls could avoid being raped on Dec. 17.

The classroom assignment read: “What could have Melissa have done differently to avoid her sexual assault? Provide at least four examples,” notes WITI.

The Kenosha Unified School District released a statement after receiving complaints from parents:

District administration takes concerns very seriously and immediately launched an investigation. In addition, Bradford was asked to promptly remove this assignment from use. The district will be doing a comprehensive review of the health curriculum covering relationships and dating violence.
