Supporters of President Donald Trump are taking a bizarre oath of office — created by the right wing conspiracy group QAnon — and posting videos of themselves on Twitter to become “digital soldiers” against “all enemies, foreign and domestic” (MORE VIDEO BELOW).
Newsweek notes that the non-binding oath went viral on June 24, and has spread to Republican Senate candidate Jo Rae Perkins of Oregon, who took it on June 27:
I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.
Finally got around to taking The Oath! Pool hair & dark eye circles and all! I stand ready!#TakeTheOath @elenochle #WWG1WGAWORLDWIDE #DigitalWarriors #GodWins #GodBlessAmerica #Trump2020LandslideVictory pic.twitter.com/TtOlgaynX3— Shelly Bricker (@brickhouse19) June 29, 2020
The greatest honor I’ve ever had to be honest this movement has given me meaning to my life I never thought I’d find. For years being woke has been a curse now finally I see why I stumbled down the rabbit hole years ago it was all to lead up to this! #taketheoath pic.twitter.com/ZyOuBh7LqB— ProphetAnon (@1984Theprophet) June 30, 2020
