Office Of Special Counsel: Kellyanne Conway Violated Hatch Act Twice

The Office of Special Counsel says that senior White House advisor Kellyanne Conway violated the Hatch Act twice.

The first instance was when Conway told Fox News viewers to buy Ivanka Trump’s brand’s products.

The second instance was when she publicly supported Republican Alabama senate candidate and accused child molester Roy Moore during his 2017 race against Democratic candidate Doug Jones, who ultimately won.

The Office of Special Counsel said it “submitted the report to the President for appropriate disciplinary action,” notes ABC News Politics.

White House defended Conway by (falsely) claiming “did not advocate for or against the election of any particular candidate,” notes ABC News reporter Meredith McGaw.
