Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley of Iowa, who infamously and falsely claimed Obamacare included death panels, threw a fit during a press conference while claiming there was an anti-Kavanaugh bias in the media:
Now, I would never use the word fake news. I consider you folks policemen for our democratic system of government, but I want to show you where some of you have bias!
Grassley whined that there were “demonstrators in my office for two weeks now”:
And one time the people that were for Kavanaugh wanted to be interviewed. And [the media] said we only — we’re only interested in interviewing people against Kavanaugh. Now, that’s a bias that none of you should be proud of.
The Washington Post‘s Jennifer Rubin told MSNBC how unhinged Grassley and other Republicans acte during their press conference:
They are so emotional, almost hysterical. I would make a joke about it, that they’re behaving as if it’s their time of the month, but this is very, very serious.
